Free Insurance Cover
Free comprehensive insurance is included in our daily rental price, with an insurance excess of $1000. Our insurance covers one driver only, who is aged 18 years and over with a full Cook Islands drivers license.
All our branches can provide you with a temporary 24 hour license for either car, scooter or motorcycle. You can then either go and get a permanent drivers license at the Police Station or opt to drive on a temporary license which you would then have to reapply for at one of our offices on a daily basis.
Therefore, if you are over 18 years of age, hold a current car drivers license from your home country and are going to be the only the only driver/ rider of the rental vehicle there is NO EXTRA CHARGE necessary for insurance.
What if you want to reduce insurance excess?
Yes, you can choose to bring the insurance excess down to $500 by paying an extra $10 per day for a car and $3 per day for a scooter or motorbike.
What if we have more than one person driving the rental vehicle.
Not a problem. You can add as many drivers as you need by advising them in the rental agreement and paying only $2 per day per extra driver.
Does your insurance plan cover glass, windscreen and puncture.
Normal commercial insurance plans do not cover glass, windscreen or punctures.
However, if you do not want to risk the cost of a windscreen stone chip or flat tyre this can be covered for only $2 extra per day , great peace of mind cover.
